Alexis King

I began practicing yoga unknowingly at a young age when I paired my soccer stretches with deep belly breathing and visualizations.  It wasn’t until years later when I put a name to this practice, and I fell in love.  I chose to pursue yoga teacher training to be able to bring the mindfulness I gain from yoga to those around me.  In the spring of 2022 I graduated from Radiance’s own yoga teacher training and have since registered with the Yoga Alliance, receiving my 200 hour certification.

My favorite moments in my classes are watching my students melt into themselves, giving up resistance, and truly being present.  I love teaching students who are newer to the practice as these moments are so visible with them. My goal in each class is to create an enriching environment for my students through movement, breath, and mindful conversation.

In my classes you can always expect a good thigh burn! I love chair pose and the energy it creates.  Paired with high lunges and plenty of Warrior 2’s, you can expect to feel strong and powerful during and after class.  That being said, I’m also a huge fan of a slow cool down that always ends with a strong, juicy, savasana.  Our minds are just as important to focus on, right?! If you want to connect with yourself through a hot, sweaty flow and an easy, relaxing rest, come see me at Rad every Saturday morning at 8:15am!
