Shannon Cook

I've practiced yoga in some way, shape or form for the last decade or so, always coming back to the mat to find the release of self we feel when we move through a flow. I live by the mantra, "get out of your head, and get onto your mat." I am invigorated by seeing myself, and my students, let go of any inhibitions, any expectations, and any aesthetic standard we feel like we need to set when practicing.

In my classes, you’ll find a deep, acute focus on breath-body connection through fluid movement. I've never taken myself too seriously, and never intend to, even on my mat. Classes with me will include some laughs, some stumbles and most importantly, a lot of uplifting energy, focusing on making you feel like your absolute best self, on and off the mat.

I am a RYT-200, obtaining my 200 hour vinyasa certification from Yoga Vida in New York, NY. I also have 50 additional hours Restorative yoga & Trauma-Informed Yoga, as well as a Prenatal Yoga certification. I love teaching a variety of classes - power, foundational or restore - but I’m most known for Rockin’ Vinyasa: high energy, loud music, and a whole lotta party.
