Ashley Alter

I teach a slow, strong foundational yoga class that focuses on holding postures a bit longer and learning to breathe through the process. My goal is to teach a class that both challenges the body but also the mind, and allows my students to go a little deeper inward and focus on themselves, their alignment, and their breath work.

I started practicing yoga regularly fifteen years ago, and in some form yoga has remained a constant focus in my life since. Yoga, both on and off the mat, have allowed me to learn to pause before reacting, persevere through uncomfortable moments, and in general practice kindness towards myself and others.
I took my YTT program through Radiance with the intention of deepening my practice, and I’ve found that I love sharing this lifestyle with others and now substitute teach on an as needed basis for Radiance.

You can expect a gentle, strong flow with focus on breath work and mindfulness while we move through asanas. My favorite pose is pigeon, with dancer a close second! You can be sure that we will move through the warrior poses while reminding ourselves how strong our bodies and minds are. Hope to catch you in class soon!
